wrong option is selected as answer

Question:

A dishonest dealer sells his goods at the cost price and stills earns a profit of 35% by underweighting. What does he use for 2 kg?

Options:
A)

1400 grams

B)

1420 grams

C)

1600 grams

D)

1481.50 grams

Solution:

Gain% =

35=  $x1000-x×100$

$∴$    35000 – 35x=100x

$∴$    35000 = 135 x

$∴$    x=  $35000135$     $≈259.25$

Thus , he uses 1000 - 259.25 = 740.75 grams

$∴$    He uses 1481.50 kg for 2 kg weight
